Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said during the interim budget speech that 2 crore more houses will be built in the next 5 years to meet the needs arising from the increase in the number of families.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in Parliament that 2 crore houses will be built in the next five years under PM Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-Gramin). At the beginning of the budget speech, he once again hoped for the return of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the interim speech in Parliament, the Finance Minister said that despite the challenges of Covid, the work of PM Awas Yojana Gramin continued and our government is close to achieving the target of 3 crore houses.
